Dow Jones International News announced Shinhan Financial Group Co., Ltd. has completed its public tender offer to buy a 78.6% stake in LG Card Co., Ltd. with the subscription rate reaching 116.98%. The Company has purchased LG Card for KRW 67,770 per share, spending a total of KRW 6.678 trillion, and raising its shareholding in the country's top credit card issuer by customer numbers to 85.7%.
GE And Blackstone To Buy PHH Corporation For $1.69 Billion-WSJ

The Wall Street Journal reported that GE's Capital Solutions unit and private-equity group, Blackstone Group, have agreed to acquire PHH Corporation in a deal valued at $1.69 billion. Under the agreement, GE's business-to-business leasing, financing and asset-management arm will pay $31.50 a share for PHH, of Mount Laurel, N.J., that operates PHH Mortgage Services and PHH Arval, a North American vehicle-fleet-management-services provider. GE plans to immediately sell to a Blackstone affiliate PHH's mortgage business, which originates 'private-label' mortgages for financial institutions, while retaining PHH Arval.

PHH Corporation: GE Capital Solutions, the business-to-business leasing, financing and asset management unit of GE and The Blackstone Group, through its affiliates, announced that they have agreed to acquire PHH Corporation in an all-cash transaction for $31.50 per share or approximately $1.8 billion. PHH Corporation will be purchased by GE, which will retain PHH Arval and sell PHH Mortgage to Blackstone immediately after closing. It is expected to close in the third quarter of 2007. Lehman Brothers advised GE and Blackstone on this transaction. JP Morgan also served as an advisor to Blackstone.
Credit Foncier de France Reopens Tender Offer for Locindus SA Shares

Locindus SA announced that Credit Foncier de France has reopened its tender offer for Locindus SA shares. The new tender offer will run from March 14, 2007 until April 3, 2007. Credit Foncier de France intends to acquire the totality of the Company's shares for a price of EUR 37 per share.
